Charity at Brockworth

Since Brockworth Sports Centre re-opened in February 2007, a total of £4826.42 has been raised for charity. The bulk of this has been through the Christmas Miles. Over the years Marie Curie Cancer Care, Winston's Wish, The Alzheimers Society and the Mental Health Foundation have all benefitted from this annual event. Swimathons have raised money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and sponsored distance swims by the Swim School children have helped Lawrence's Roundabout Well Appeal, the Meningitis Trust, Tommy's (Let's Talk Babies) and now Save the Children. Collections on reception have raised cash for Marie Curie Daffodil appeal, the Mental Health Foundation and Save The Children. Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way over the years. You can rest assured that all of the pennies and other loose change we find on the floor of the Sports Centre go into these collections.
